I've been thinking more about color and how timid i've been about choosing unpredictable colors.  This was an attempt at defying my habit.  Also trying to skip the line drawing stage and paint in with shapes and colors and values.

Kang the Conquerer - Colored Sketch

Another sketch from my little moleskine sketchbook.  I've been using that japanese pentel brush pen a lot lately, and i like the variety i get from in rather than just the microns.  Most of the sketches in my sketchbook are drawn on the sub way to and from work so the lines can get a little wavy.

Venom - Colored Sketchbook

My buddy Greg drew an awesome Venom which inspired me to draw this guy in a mid sized moleskine... which i havent touch in a while.  The aim was to finish that sketchbook and retire it.  Colors were added in Photoshop.

Hellboy Portrait

Hellboy recently reached its finale, and I drew this in tribute.
